Photo prompt: offense on school grounds 

 


1. In a few sentences, describe what you will photograph to respond to your photo prompt. (Note: Your photograph should have a human subject.) Also briefly discuss the overall look/feel/mood you are attempting.

 The person will be standing outside the principal's office (the door that says the principal's name and title) with a look of horror and a referral paper in hand.

 

 

2.  Create a hand-drawn version of your intended photograph. This must be shown to Reynolds by either Monday or Tuesday next week (9/30 or 10/1). Your photo should not be taken before your rough sketch is made. 





 

 

3. With your intentions in mind, describe each of the following for your photograph:

 

Design

• Lighting

 Office lighting (bright)

 

• Setting

 Front office outside principal's door

 

• Costumes, hairstyles, makeup

 Teenage style: T-Shirt, shorts, sneakers, socks, up or down hairstyle, minimal makeup

 Jason will be center stage with the principal's plaque behind him and the referral paper in hand, and the office stage left to him.

The genre I selected is crime/murder mystery. Media Reflection

  How your relationship with media has started to change during the beginning of this course:     My relationship with media has changed throughout this course by learning how to identify different types of media and what qualities, such as conventions, to categorize them by. I 'm not a huge movie or film person , but this course has piqued my interest in movies, films, and documentaries. This course has also given me a much deeper understanding as to what defines the genres of a movie and what differentiating factors exist between a movie, a documentary, or a documentary or film. That is , in a movie/film sense, this course has also allowed me to identify stereotypes in everyday media we consume that most people overlook.
