Media Reflection #3

One of the last movies I watched was Smile 2 and Here. Smile 2 was a horror/mystery film, and the movie Here was a fantasy/drama film. I cried watching both, one from sadness and the other out of fear. The movie was distributed by Paramount Pictures and Temple Hill Entertainment, and Bad Feeling was the production company of Smile 2. Here it is distributed by TriStar Pictures and created by Miramax, Imagemovers, and Playtone. Yes, I tend to interact with media created by larger companies mainly when I watch movies. On social media platforms I consume more smaller creator content and not just large companies. I wouldn't say I look for independent content; I think, more so, it finds me. In comparison to Smile 2, the companies used to create the movie "Here" seem to be not as well known, coming from my knowledge. I don't really consume movies that often, but when I do, I usually go to the movie theater, which more often than not plays movies made by larger companies. I mean, typically with consuming media, I do follow and watch smaller content creators, but I do not know if that would be considered the same thing. After reflecting on my consumption habits think I will try to look into movies/films that are more underground or created by companies that aren't as well known.
